Catherine Wire Roberts, who has led communications teams in multiple business sectors, has joined Stanford Graduate School of Business as chief communications and marketing officer.

For more than two decades, Roberts has served in management roles at eBay, Juniper Networks, Sun Microsystems, SunPower, and Visa. Most recently she led global communications for the multi-billion semiconductor startup Solidigm. She began her career in the non-profit sector, working at Kaiser Permanente, The Children’s Health Council, and in public television.

“Catherine understands how important a strong communications strategy is to move forward an organization’s goals, and she is passionate about what we do at the GSB,” says Stanford GSB Dean Jonathan Levin. “I’m confident that our already outstanding communications and marketing team will continue to grow under Catherine’s leadership.”

Roberts leads a dynamic team dedicated to protecting and enhancing Stanford GSB’s reputation through strategic communication and brand stewardship. Her team amplifies the student experience, alumni impact, innovative ideas, and breakthrough research across digital platforms, publications, and media outlets.

“I’m thrilled to join the staff of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, an institution whose remarkable purpose, people, and programs I have long admired,” Roberts says. “The opportunity to be a part of communicating the profound impact of the GSB’s students, faculty, and alumni is an extraordinary privilege.”
